Anyone familiar with his work will be stoked to learn that Joshua Vettivelu is the next resident artist here at the prism house!
Hot off the trails of his recent installation/performance Glory Hole at the Toronto International Art Fair and Fuse Magazine fundraiser, Vettivelu wastes no time in getting to the prep stages for his next large-scale installation show. While I was crafting and book-making the past two evenings, Joshua has begun working on scale models and sketches. There has also been some talk of heading over to the Clay Studio for some hands-on clay and ceramic action.
There has also been no time wasted in the cooking of delicious pots of chilli and chickpea patties! So much tasty.
We took some time on Friday to set up our newly acquired tools – a bench-mounted drill press and a 16″ scroll saw. Thanks for the hands, Josh!
Stay tuned for more prism house adventures! (Can I say “Ad-Vettive-ntures??)
