a box is a box is a…

box?

As you likely already know, I love tiny things. So for upcoming show Boxed In! I made some tiny things!

Boxed In!, is jointly curated and presented by The Rooms Provincial Art Gallery and the Gallery of the Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador. The show features 70 local, national and international artists, and the theme is – you guessed it – boxes! The curatorial statement was really open – take the title and let your ideas run wild. As long as the finished work fit in, and could be displayed inside of the given dimensions.

And you may recall seeing this image before:

tiny wood, tiny transfers...

tiny wood, tiny transfers…

these tiny transfers became the tiny things I made for the show. Come check them out in person (er…in wood?) to see how it all came together!

Opening Receptions:

The Rooms: Friday, Jan. 25, 7:30 pm

The Craft Council Gallery: Saturday, Jan. 26, 2 – 4 pm

Visit the galleries between January 25 – April 14 to see all the amazing work!

I am so thrilled to be a part of this exhibition with so many talented individuals. There will be some seriously amazing crafts-person-ship in this show!
