the prism house

good graces

By the very good graces of some very good makers, I am learning to weave on a loom.

The wonderful craftspeople at the Anna Templeton Centre, which houses the College of the North Atlantic’s Textiles Program have kindly rolled me onto a loom and set me off. I am running with this like a child through a field with a kite in a stiff breeze with sun on my shoulders. Today I completed 57″ of samples, including a plain weave, basket weave, and twill weave in various manifestations, using various fibres (largely cotton and wool)
